All three are One, are eternal, and are congruent by nature.
God, the Father.
God, the Son.
God, the Spirit.
Scripture reference: Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-13, John 1:1|5:18,23|10:30|18:5-6, 1 John 5:7
It saddens us that there seems to be contention in Christendom concerning this principal belief. That believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God - the Father is the ONLY way to eternal salvation.
The Bible literature on this foundational idea is overwhelming and resolute. Here are just a few:
" Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." - John 14:6
" For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." John 3:17
" For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ." - 1 Corinthians 3:11
" let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” - Acts 4:10-12
Scripture reference: John 3:18, 1 Timothy 2:5, Ephesians 1:20-23, Philippians 2:5-11
That scripture explains scripture. That it is One Spirit and One God from the old testament to the new testament. Thus, every verse of the Bible is of God and should not be disregarded or relegated.
Scripture reference: 2 Timothy 3:16-17
In numerous verses in both old and new testaments of the Bible, an eternity is spoken of for both man and Angels. Eternity with God [Heaven, New earth], and an eternity away from God in everlasting fire [hell, lake of fire].
Scripture reference: John 5:28-29, Revelations 20:10-15, Matthew 25:31-46, Acts 24:15, Daniel 12:2 [Israel], Jude 1:4-7, 2 Peter 2:4-10, Revelations 21 etc.
That no one is beyond saving. That if we genuinely [truthfully, honestly] turn from all our sinful, wicked and evil ways and turn to Jesus Christ as Savior and Ruler of our lives, we will be saved.
Scripture reference: Luke 15:7-10, John 14:6, Matthew 4:17, Ezekiel 18:21-24, 1 Timothy 2:3-4, Matthew 9:12-13
Water baptism and Holy Ghost baptism are new-testament initiations and rites of passage that every Believer in Christ Jesus must partake in. Water baptism is performed immediately after one believes and accepts the message about the Son of God, Jesus Christ. It denotes a washing away from the old sinful ways, a burying and a resurrection with Christ into the new man in Christ. This, St. Paul refers to as the "newness of life." Baptism and Repentance go hand in hand, one repents and is baptized.
Scripture reference: Matthew 3:11|28:18-20, Acts 2:38-39, Mark 16:16, John 3:3-5, Romans 6:1-7.
The word of God says that without faith it is impossible to please God. It says that our faith is not of ourselves but a free gift from God so that no one can brag about it or lord it over others. The Bible also points out that faith only (i.e. just merely saying you have faith) doesn't justify us before God, that our actions matter just as much to Him. The goal is to let the Spirit change you as you come to the knowledge of the Truth. Our everyday thoughts and actions as Christ followers should point to our faith in Him. The Faith we have should be evident in our character.
Scripture reference: Ephesians 2:8-9, James 2:14-26, Matthew 5:14-16, Romans 6:1-2,15-16|8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.
The importance of giving especially to the Body of Christ i.e. fellow brethren in Christ is stressed in multiple places in the Bible. In James 2 God tells us that it is not enough sometimes to just pray or wish somebody well when we have the physical and/or financial ability to help. Here at Constance it is one of our founding principles to be givers [and helpers] of diverse people with diverse needs beginning and centering on the brethren (as defined by Christ in Luke 8:21).
Love, Cherish and Prioritize the brethren in all situations. Our attitude towards giving is summarized by the verse below:
" As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." - Galatians 6:10
Scripture reference: Matthew 10:40-42, Mark 9:41, James 2:14-16, Matthew 25:34-40, Acts 4:32-35
CONTEND FOR THE SOULS OF MEN! CONTEND FOR THE SOULS OF MEN! It is the will of the Father that all manner of people be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth. CONTEND FOR THE SOULS OF MEN! CONTEND FOR THE SOULS OF MEN! It is the will of the Father that all manner of people be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth.
Intercession before Evangelism, Intercession then Evangelism.
Scripture reference: 1 Timothy 2:1-4, 2 Thessalonians 3:1, James 5:19-20
Across the Bible we see the importance of Unity to God, we see His desire to keep His people [His flock] together here on earth and even in the new world to come. Here at Constance we are of the [Biblical] belief that we achieve more when we are united regardless of race, gender, politics, nationality, or denomination. After all, we are all one in Christ, as He [Christ] is one in God. There is great collaboration in the kingdom of darkness, so the last thing we can afford as believers is to fight amongst ourselves. Oneness is of great importance to the Son of God, He prays thus:
" that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me." - John 17:21-23
Scripture reference: Luke 11:17-18, John 10:16, Acts 4:24, Galatians 3:20,26-29
This is a deep topic and can only fully be appreciated by the tutelage of the Holy spirit, one thing to stress however is that this does not involve physical violence of any kind to your fellow human.
The Bible tells us of an ongoing war in the spirit realm [having very physical manifestations] that is as old as mankind. It tells us about the main players;
1. God & His angels,
2. Satan, his angels, demons and
3. Mankind
It tells us about the need to join in the fight and to be victorious. It tells us not to fear, but to remain in Christ Jesus, and in the word of God as the only way to victory. The choice to fight is yours to make. The fact however is this, whether you fight or not, whether you believe or not, whether your spiritual guide teaches you about it or not, you are in that battle. The decision for you to be in it was made long before you were conceived, by non-human forces.
